Treating a new house as a blank slate for improvements

A new house can be something of a tableau rasa that allows you to exercise your own very personal preferences in terms of design. It is often a very sensible approach, especially when buying property in the capital, to reserve a certain amount of your budget to put towards hoe improvements that can take place before you actually move in.

Doing this obviously puts you in a better position to afresh because you can make the house you have invested in perfectly suitable to your own requirements. This attitude satisfies practical considerations and aesthetic considerations in equal part.

You can carry out home improvements to make the house energy-efficient and structurally sound for the future at the same time as addressing the interior design to make the place attractive to you.

Then you will move into your London home in the full knowledge that everything is just right.
