There is no harm in being ambitious when it comes to having your home renovated. Homes in London often have a great deal of character already, but that does not mean that they suitable for modern life in a practical sense and it does not mean that they adhere to the ideas you have in terms of aesthetics.
That’s why ambition is such a good thing. You have a great opportunity to satisfy all these things if you take a really active approach and experiment with a few ideas. Being ambitious may yield other positives in the sense that you may come across techniques and styles that you were previously unaware of, just by looking at other ambitious projects that have been undertaken by others.
Be observant and take inspiration wherever it is available. It is perfectly acceptable to be very ambitious in your bid to make a great home because any issues will be flagged up by your London architects and builders. They will find ways to put your ideas into practice and they will put the brakes on when any of them simply aren’t suitable for your property.
